Barn Storming

I went barn storming,again today,searching for old barns,to photograph.
And here are my treasures for the day.
Turned out rather well,if I do say so myself.
And here is my very favorite,of all I got today.

And here is an old, abandoned home I ran across, and just can’t help but wonder, why would someone just move off, and leave a beautiful home like that, just standing, empty, and alone like that.

And below are the rest of the old barns, they are all very beautiful old barns, though they show signs of weather wear, and age.

  1. So many stories, aren’t there? I’d love to know them as well; but then some might be too heartbreaking to bear. 😦
I agree about the first photo. It is my favorite as well. I love the light on the roof top. It seems so quiet there.

  2. Oh, I’m so glad you got out and took some pics!
    They are beautiful!
So much history…so many stories…just looking at the photos my mind starts to wonder and ponder. 🙂
I hope you are doing well today, Marion!

  3. I miss the midwest. A lot of people don’t see the beauty in the flat or rolling landscape out there, but I’ve always enjoyed it. A lot of these old barns also have really good hardwoods in them, too.

    • Hi,
      Glad you dropped by!
I like the midwest, though you are right,it’s kinda flat
And I miss the hills and mountians where I grew up in Tennessee.
And yea there is a lot of really good hardwood in the old barns,I woukd love to get some of it,to make stuff out of,but people won’t let it go
You have a great night, and drop by any time, you are always welcome!
